Vancouver’s iconic spring festival reaches new heights in growth and acclaim.
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is a non-profit that celebrates arts and culture under the blossoms.
In Spring 2024, the festival grew 2.5x through strategic marketing, sponsor partnerships, and a new logo I designed. By curating social media content, I grew our online presence to 10,000+ followers, boosting engagement and turning the festival into a springtime highlight—a space for families to connect, celebrate diversity, and cherish nature’s gifts.

From small and humble beginnings…
The past three years have taught me so much—from internal management, where I learned to pick up loose ends and keep projects moving forward, to planning for the unexpected, like scaling events to accommodate overwhelming turnout. Most importantly, I grew in understanding how to create inclusive spaces, from embracing diverse cultures to engaging underrepresented communities.
As the communications lead for 80+ stakeholders over three years, I led the site’s rebrand, redesigned the logo, and incorporated annual feedback to elevate each festival. In my final year, I achieved a major milestone—engaging over 180,000 users in just 30 days.
